Cask; Seasonal - Spring & Summer.
Another relative rarity in the real ale world ~ a clear wheat beer. This is a brilliantly astringent beer as a true wheat beer should be and in pulls off a real "double whammie" having a powerful continental bitterness as well.

deanso (10150) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - FEB 21, 2015
bottle from ABCBeers. Thin white head. Hay golden pour. Slight bitterness. Not as good as Beowolfs usual beers

Mr_Pink_152 (5109) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - JAN 2, 2015
part of my 2013 backlog, tried at the 2013 peterborough festival. Pale amber colour with white head. Flavour has malt, hops, with a bitter finish.

3.3
RichTheVillan (7936) - Birmingham, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2014
Cask at The Barton Arms Beer Festival; clear amber pour with a bubbly white head, a hint of citrus in the aroma, taste is sweet with light citrus, some astringency.

3.4
SarkyNorthener (4676) - West Bromwich (Yorkshire Expat), West Midlands, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2013
[email protected] tap and tanner, walsall. Golden beer with medium head and good lacing. Aroma of pale malts and citrus. Taste is citrus, bread, some wheat and bitter hops. Decent.

imdownthepub (14755) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 5, 2013
Cask conditioned at The Old Joint Stock, Birmingham. Gold with white head. This was quite a thin beer on the palate, slightly watery with a light perfumed note, bitterness, dryish. It didn’t really come over as a wheat beer but in retrospect there were a few signs. Just ok.

2.4
niquillis (2752) - Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, ENGLAND - JUN 2, 2013
On cask at Wheatsheaf (JDW), Cheadle. Pours amber with white head. Wheat beer apparently, they should be fruity with a wheat kick. This is astringent and hard work. A face puller.

2.9
jmgreenuk (9542) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - APR 30, 2013
Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Poured a crystal clear light amber with a thin broken white head. The aroma is weak malt, leading to a medium bitter, grassy, hoppy flavour with some smooth malt on the palate. The bitterness quickly disappears. A refreshing ale, but Beowulf can do much better.

2.3
BlackHaddock (7413) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2012
500ml Brown bottle conditioned UK brewed wheat beer poured into a Franziskaner Weissbier glass on 13 Apr 2012. The beer has a slight haze to its otherwise pale golden body. The head was thin and white in colour, getting thinner with every sip. Citrus hop aroma and taste: not a lot else really. Refreshing but somewhat lacking in depth and deep flavours.

3.3
cgarvieuk (24793) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 11, 2011
bottle at home ... golden amber .. thin white head ... soft sweet lemon fruit nose ... light banana lemon ... quite heavily oily body ... quite a bitter duration ... some lemon peel ... little heavy ... quite syrupy sweet

3.5
tommann (3801) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - MAR 31, 2011
500ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy light gold with a medium head. Aroma is lemon and lime hops. Taste starts with some lime. Wheaty finish. Citrus aftertaste. Full in the mouth with prickly carbonation.
