Pours dark, dark brown with a small brownish head. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa powder and banana. Chocolate and dried fruits in the mouth, some sweet sherry notes. A tiny bit of sourness, and some warming alcohol on the finish. Pretty tasty stuff. Bottle from Vinmonopolet Storo with best before date May 2014.

Bottled. Thanks to Nisse666. Nice appearance - dark brown with light brown head. In both nose and flavor we have a very smooth, rich and light chocolatey maltiness with a light suggestion of "sour" like old ales were in the old days. I find the chocolate to be a bit too much, but otherwise this is an excellent beer, if not typical old ale.

Flaske.

Bottle from a trade with Cunningham, thanx maaan!
Pours deep black with no head, looks like a coke in my glass. Aromas of bitter roasted malts, licorice and dark fruits. Taste has sweet malts, brown sugar, with caramel and dark fruits. Finish has lots of brown sugar and fruits, paired with lovely caramellish dark roasted malts. Yummi yummi!

0,33l bottle from Vinmonopolet 2015. Dark brown, with tall caramel head. Lovely aroma of sweet malt and licorice. Porter aroma. Taste is sweet, malty with a solid dose of licorice. The high ABV is very tangible. I would not have been surprised had this one been labelled as an imperial stout. Very good. A solid Xmas brew.
