Roasted cocoa flavor, figs, caramel, prunes, ash, licorice, tar, dark chocolate. A bit thin bodied. Roasted finish with smoke, tar, licorice and some ash. yngwie (17284) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - DEC 30, 2008
Bottle. A black beer with a small, firm beige head. Roasted, or maybe rather burnt aroma with some notes of dried fruits and coffee. A little touch of coffee too. Thin in the mouth, after all it’s just 4.7% ABV, and rather dry and silky. Still it’s giving a sweet impression, especially in the finish, along with coffee, burnt malt and a touch of chocolate and dried fruits. The finish has a nice burnt bitterness with little evidence of hops. A pleasant, quaffable and well-tasting example of the species. (081214) MiP (16055) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - FEB 19, 2010
