Huge tan head. Pours opaque chocolate brown. Chili burn throughout. Lots of darkly roasted malt flavor. Not much happening on the finish other than the chili. Medium body. The head seems to be obscuring the aroma, or it doesn’t have much aroma.... not sure yet. WillemsUrenkel (1819) - Oldenburg, GERMANY - DEC 24, 2013
UPDATED: JAN 26, 2014 0,33 l bottle. Nearly black in the glass and nearly no head. Dark Chocolate and coffee on the nose. Starts the same, light floral background, definitive not a sweet porter. Hints of chili are discreet, more a minimal spicy and salty sourness, in the aftertaste. Certainly not a beer for everyday, but interesting. note666 (1297) - Eindhoven, NETHERLANDS - OCT 25, 2013

Chocolate, dark malts and a hint of chilli in the aroma. Black, light brown head, good lace. Light sweet, roasted, chocolate, light bitter, strange taste. Like chilli peppers but without the warming/hot feeling. Medium to full bodied. Flavourful, nice, but chilli?
Original porter with some unusual spices. The chili is present and fits quite well. Good beer.

Bottle: Served in a Chouffe glass:
Medium sized darker beige light brown colored foamy head on top of a black colored beer.
Aroma has some good notes of oatmeal, roast, dust, chalk, coffee and chocolate.
Flavour has notes of dust, coal, roast, coffee, some chocolate, yeast, nuts, porridge, some coffee beans and malt toast with bitters and a light light spicy touch... Now we know...
Aftertaste is a mix of bitters, cacoa, malt toast, light hint of something spicy and some dusty coffee tones.
Low carbo, soft creamy mouthfeel, medium to lightly fuller bodied and a creamy texture.
If I didn’t know about the pepper I wouldn’t have guessed it either. The pepper is not noticeable, but than again I love spicy food. Next to that it’s a decent beer, an absolutely for 4% ABV! Well done! IluvatarMilan (282) - Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2013
Bottle. Oaty aroma, no signs of peppers yet. Soft, medium bodied taste with some toasted malts, slight hint of spice and pepper. Very well hidden, much like the low abv is. MichaelAwesome (6516) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - AUG 11, 2013
Thank you bierkoning for that one. Well, thank you beerkoning and not thank you Berghoeve for that smokey piwo. Tough one from start to end with some roasted malt and some chili in the aroma. Well, the smoked end and aftertaste kill all points. That´s it. McTapps (6856) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - AUG 11, 2013
Bottle from bierkoning - with many thanks. Pours ot of the bottle in a unclear dark brown, almost black colour, low head and medium body. Nose of roasted malt. Taste of leather, very bittersweet chocolat, torf, nuts, burnt malt and roast. Hints of smoke. Finsihes quite sweet with some espresso hints. Not that easy to drink, but very spicy and aromatic.
