Decent porter, but where sometimes Brett can do wonderful things in this case it didn’t do very much but making it slightly tart. It added little complexity but did not give much improvement. Interesting experiment, though. Theydon_Bois (19193) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 11, 2015

Tasting at Leighton’s Flat. Lightly hazy red - amber beer, no head. Palate is light and semi dry. Very modest fine carbonation. Mild malts, a little toffee. Dried fruits. Something that taste like cinnamon but maybe is skewed brett. Light finish. Okay.
Bottle at Leighton’s. It pours murky dark brown with a small beige head. The nose is sweet, sticky, blueberry, blackcurrant, earthy brett, spice, smoke and mild acidity. The taste is sweet, oily, roasted malt, earth, dull roast, rather drying, acidity and some astringency with a dry finish. Medium body, fine carbonation and oily mouth-feel. A bid odd. Some weird acidic/acrid bitterness about it. Not sold on this one. Leighton (21083) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 7, 2014
Bottle shared at the chriso pre-Christmas tasting 2014 - London. Pours deep brown with a huge, foamy khaki head. The nose has some tangy dark fruits, mild funk, dirt. Medium sweet flavor with well toasted bread, light farm yard, poo, cocoa, dark fruits, berries, leather. Medium bodied with lively carbonation. More leathery fruts on the finish, dark malts, burnt grains, berries, earth. Not bad.

Bottle shared at chriso’s winter tasting 7/12/2014. Mid brown/ caramel coloured pour with lasting mid tan head. Aroma is funky, horsey beer, a little musty, dark fruit, gateau. Flavour is composed of tart fruit, coco powder, musty, horsey funk. Palate is quite thin, high carbonation. Lingering dark choc and tart fruit. I really like this. Bottle, bb 3-2015. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma: roast, brett funkyness. Taste: liquorice, vanilla, chocolate, brett, wood, white currants, somehow reminds me a bit of vanilla coke. Surprisingly full body for the abv, smooth mouthfeel, moderate sweet, moderate carbonation, long lasting sweet liquorice finish. yngwie (17038) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2014
Bottle. It pours a creamy, dark beige body over a next to black body. Nice lacings. Some funky notes in the aroma, with dried fruits, dark chocolate, caramel and prunes. It’s lightly sweetish on the palate, mostly on the dry side though, with dark chocolate, caramel, roasted malts and some prunes. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting roasted finish with prunes, dark chocolate and caramel sauce. Tasteful and complex. And very nice. 140816 Meilby (11366) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - AUG 16, 2014
