Clear medium to dark brown colour with a large to huge, creamy, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, grass, leather. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, grass - leather, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130519]

Bottle at yespr. Dark brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Fruity and light roasted aroma of dark chocolate with notes of overriped fruits and hops. Fruity and light roasted flavour of berries, grass and hops. Hoppy and roasted finish.

Opaque dark brown beer, ginourmous fluffy pale tan head. Bottle continued a slow gush. Palate is airy, semi dry and crisp. Thin dark malts, some roast. Touch of sweet floralness before pine hop kicks in. Light dry finish. Mellow roasty linger. Not bad.

RBESG 2013. Bottle at Rooie Dop. Black beer with a decent beige head. Hoppy floral flavor, roasted, caramel, chocolate, cocoa powder, some metal. Roasted cocoa flavor, dark chocolate, caramel, some metal, fruity notes. Hoppy bitter finish with roasted cocoa notes.

Dark brown color, huge off-white/brownish head. Cardboard, licorice and berries in the nose. Medium-bodied. Licorice, grassy hoppyness but also some harsh grainy-kind of flavors, ash and burned malts. Not very balanced black IPA.
