33 cl. bottle @ home. Procured from Speciaal Bier Winkel in Bodegraven. I don’t see any date on the bottle & this is a BIPA… Brilliant name. Dark brown beer, murky, vanishing soapy beige head. Nise full grapefruit hops in the nose, also cocoa, coffee grounds, light ash & burned toast. Cocoa powder taste, very powdery feel, burned toast, light ash, coffee ground, chocolate mixed with lovely grapefruit & touch pine resin hops, lots of them. No integration between the parts, the beer is still very lovely? Very powdery, too high carb. body. Flawed but very nice to drink. MaartenRF10 (1950) - Wageningen, NETHERLANDS - JAN 3, 2013
Bottle thanks to Bierkoning. Hazy dark brown with a huge beige head. Hoppy aroma with roasted malt and chocolate. Taste is also very hoppy with a nice chocolate back-up. Long aftertaste of hops and chocolate. Good body and lively carbonation. Nice brew! PotjeBier (3348) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - OCT 14, 2012
At home, one of the 33 cl bottles delivered to De Bierkoning after a triangular Twitter conversation between Berghoeve, De Bierkoning & myself :-)
Deep dark brown (donkerbruin) color, off white head. Aroma’s: Roasted malts, somewhat sweet, drop/laurel, some red fruit, currants/berries. Flavor is lightly sweet with bitterness at the back of the tongue. Medium bodied. Finishes roasted, ashy, with a mild bitterness. Nothing too extreme but very tasty. tderoeck (9724) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUN 4, 2013

Little cloudy brown beer, big frothy beige head, pretty stable, little adhesive. Aroma: citrus, caramel, bit sweet, fruity, piny, some pineapple. MF: lots of carbon, medium body. Taste: fruity, citrus, caramel, bit sweet, piny hops, pretty bitter, more citrus, some exotic fruits. Aftertaste: some citrus, mocha touch, very bitter hops.
Dark brown colour, off-white to beige head. Aroma of citrus, citra, caramel, malts, lots of pineapple. Bitter flavour, hops, roasted malts, pineapple, fruity. Quite dry. Fruity finish, caramel, pineapple, light roasted malts.

Nice. More like a caramel infused IPA, but I do like it!
(From 33cL bottle shared @ post-Rammstein tasting, Nijmegen. And thanks for the trade, Edo!)
Bottle. Black beer with a beige lacy head. Hoppy and fruity aroma. Similar flavour. A nice beer :-) MonsterMagnet (1453) - NETHERLANDS - APR 8, 2014
Bottle. Murky brown with an enournous tan head. Not really a gusher, but pour sloooowwly! The head is pretty tasty though... Aroma is a bit underwhelming, with mainly grass and hay. Taste is much better! Coffee, chocolate, grass, somewhat floral, citrus, licorice. Little sweet, lots of bitter. Dry mouthfeel and longlasting dry finish.

Bottle @ home. Bedankt Sint! Aroma is roasty malt, sweet candy like red fruits. Flavour is deep roasty bitterness, then again those red fruits, bitter and tangy. Some bready malt notes. Wouldn’t call this a black ipa, but it’s a very nice beer. The combination of the supposed style and the flavour of slight tart cherry’s does make me wonder if this bottle has been infected. 33cl Bottle from Rooie Dop Brewdungeon. Deep dark brown to black colour, light-beige head. Aroma of liquorice, resin, pine, moccha, some booze. Flavour of roasted malts, moccha, liquorice, pine, coffee, sweet chocolate, hoppy bitter finish. Light-bodied. I'd happily drink another one of these. bartlebier (3982) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JUL 16, 2013
33cl bottle, bedankt bierkoning voor de reeks. Well-done, modestly mono-dimensional and true-to-style Black IPA with apparent dryhopping, imparting subtle fresh citrus and herbal hop notes on top & underneath the lighly roasted dark malts. Easy drinking, near-sessionable, supra par of many underbrewed Black IPAs I’ve sampled in US brewpubs.
