Bottle at home. Hazy amber to brown pout, huge light brown head. Aroma is full of red fruits, spicy, roasty, some licorice and woody. Flavor is very sweet, fruity, bitter finish and with a huge body. Massive brew and very well balanced. Lovely. Ruprecht_007 (881) - Cesky Tesin, CZECH REPUBLIC - FEB 3, 2013
Courtesy of Bierkoning, huge thanx!!!
Barva: rudohnědá až černá. Pěna krémovitá, vysoká, držící. Vůně: kořeněné čokoládová. Chuť: plné pivo středního řízu, výrazná sladová chuť se středním chmelovým dozvukem. Na patře zůstávájí lehké kávové tóny a v pozadí grepová příchuť. Výborné pivo. caesar (7133) - Bunnik/Utrecht, NETHERLANDS - DEC 24, 2013
Bottled, BB 11-2015, large sample. Clear ruby color, big rocky light brown head. Aroma is spicy, clove, nutmeg, hint of anise, some roasted malts, some licorice, hint of coffee, autumn leaves. Quite bitter taste, bit sweet, spicy, bit dry. Im not a big fan of spiced beers, but this one does the trick for the winter season definitely. Great balance, great brew! Bottle. Dark ruby with an off white head. Aroma is a bit mute, malt, boozy, spices. In the mouth it opens up, dar fruit, coffee, cacoa, lots of spices, liquorice. Smooth mouthfeel, medium sweet, fairly bitter, in a different spicy way. Lovely spicy winter beer. Countbeer (6592) - Best of E-Town mit 2 Brauhausen, NETHERLANDS - JUN 3, 2014
Bottle: Served in a shaker:
Medium sized beige head on top of a murky brown colored beer.
Aromas of apricot, yeast, carbo gass, malts, fruits, porridge, hint of wood and some sweet wood.
Flavours of fruity porridge, malts, sweet wood, white pepper, hint of bayleaf, some herbs, leaves, light toast, bitters, fruits and yeast. Balanced and tasty!
Aftertaste is fruity, malty, bitter, some sweetwood and herbs/spices.
Low carbo, creamy mouthfeel, good balanced more than medium bodied and a creamy light spiced texture. Very nice beer!

I was at a local market in Den Ham and encountered this beer stand by Brewerij de Berghoeve, there was this lady compassionately talking about her own brewed beer and it was fantastic how she enthusiastically talked about it!
Aroma: quite sweet, bit caramel, hints of chocolate and coffee, some roast, lively co2.
Appearance: Sadly not at home so no good glasses on hand. Used a regular beer glass. The color is very cola like, it’s hazy brown. To be honest, not very appealing to the eye. The foam was decent cool, dissapeared quickly though.
Taste: Very sweet, very bitter, the co2 tingles on the tongue and makes it very light sour. I like how the balance is between the bitter and the sweetness. Awesome.
Palate: full body, oily feel, lively, fizzy carbonation, long bitter finish. Good!
Overall: Very good tasting beer, the beer plays with bitterness and sweetness very well, the only downside is the beers appearance but no beer can be perfect. I hope this brewery keeps rocking! ShivanDragon (4120) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 14, 2013

Bottle, traded with Bierkoning. Dark chocolate, licorice and pumpernikel bread mingling with red fruit jam - cherries and strawberries. Oh, this combination of malts and esters really gets me! Sweetish, full, deep, well integrated, and on top of that slightly woody, as if barrel-aged. Lovely beer. Christos (5779) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JUN 17, 2013
Bottle, 330 ml, at home.Poured into a tulip glass. ABV 7%
Opens with a loud pop. Colour is a deep red ruby one, a tiny bit hazy, ut beautiful. On top sits a huge, beige head, thick and soapy, with excellent retention. It took ages to collapse. Light lacing left on the glass.
Aroma is fruity. Red grapes, cherries, caramel, lots of spices.
Nice taste. Brings red wine to mind, again lots of spices, nutmeg I dare say. Sweet, with ripe fruits and sugars. Aftertaste is full of spices too.
Medium thickness on the body, average carbonation. A bit sticky on the palate.
Overall, very interesting brew. I am drinking it in the summer and it’s highly drinkable, one can only imagine the drinkabiity rising during the Christmas holidays or the winter in general.

33cl Bottle from the Rooie Dop brewdungeon. Deep ruby-amber colour, light-beige head. Aroma is very malty sweet, caramel, not unlike e.g. Paulaner Salvator, forest fruits, red berries. Flavour is quite sweet, malty, caramel, lots of red berries and forest fruits, Christmas cake, nice bitter finish with some juniper. Medium-bodied, rich in flavour. Nice, but really a dessert beer.
