jinroh (2571) - ESTONIA - NOV 12, 2017
Bottle shared at kermis's. Foamy pour, not really a gusher but close. Lightly hazy dirty amber, dense foam top that comes down quite slowly. Smoke is in the nose, somehow some apple juice there as well. Bit of bacon. Tastes surprisingly fruity, nice creamy texture that downplays smoke and lifts fruitiness. Bacon in the flavour also. Enjoyable.

33 cL Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden/amber with a medium white head. Aroma is mostly smoke, some malts and sweetness. Taste is a bit sweet with quite some smoke, some rye, spices and a medium bitter finish. Medium body and carbo. Nicely balanced smoke and very drinkable.

sjogro (5244) - The Hague, NETHERLANDS - APR 16, 2017
Bottle at home with a big smoky thanks to ShivanDragon. Slightly hazy amber with white head. Sweet malts, smoked malts, grain, lemon, orangepeel, fudge, vegetal and grassy hops behind a curtain of meaty smoke. Moderate sweet and quite a dry ashy bitter, almost sour turn in the finish. Medium body, malty and milky, creamy soft texture with quite some soft carbonation. Mineralwater feel and coolness running through. A pleasant and sessionable beer with some quite ’out there’ aromas, without throwing up a wall of peat.

PotjeBier (3912) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 21, 2017
33 cl bottle from the brewery’s webshop @ home. Hazy orange/amber color. Dense almost white head with a few mm retention. Aroma’s of smoked malt, some sweetness. Retronasal it’s smoky, a little fruity, a little sweet, rye-ish. Flavor is moderate sweet, rye-ish, with a little fruit. Medium bodied (from the rye I guess). Finishes with smoke, light bitter. Nice stuff.

Bottle @ home. Great smokey smell and taste, sweet, still kinda crisp. Really like it. I think I like this one slightly better than the barrel aged one.
