Pours an ever so lightly hazy yellow with a 3 finger foamy white head that has decent retention. Aroma is lots of fruity soap, light fruity notes and a hint of sweet grain. Flavor is sweet grain, planty hops, buttery toffee, light citrus and tree fruit. Palate is light bodied neutral on entry, slightly oily in the middle and dry to the finish with a moderate carbonation. Not a terribly enjoyable brew, but not terrible either. msante79 (2225) - Mount Prospect, Illinois, USA - APR 15, 2010
12oz bottle from sampler pack. Pours hazy golden yellow with white head. Aromas of wheat, cereal, light caramel, and light yeast. Flavors of pale malts and grains with a bit of a metallic note. I guess this is better than your average macro but not by much. arkurzynski (2427) - Combined Locks, Wisconsin, USA - APR 13, 2010
Pours pale yellow with moderate carbonation. Sweaty grain aroma with some skunk. Tastes better than it smells, still, a little rough and grainy around the edges. Some corn, pale malts. Dry finish, extremely light hoppy. Low to medium body. Better than a number of Berghoff’s offerings, just not that great. mrmekon (100) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - FEB 1, 2010
Had it from a bottle, a very unenjoyable beer. Appearance and aroma are both fine, unnotable. Taste was unbalanced towards malty, and lingers with a long, unenjoyable bitter finish. I would agree with the ’metallic’ description. Not too bad to finish, but I won’t be trying it again. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 4, 2009
Bottled. Poured near-clear bright golden with a short cap of white head. The aroma picked up lemon and grassy notes over bready and grainy character.. smelled quite good for the style. The flavor had tangy lemon zest and light grassy bitterness over sourdough bread and some wet grains.. actually balanced quite well.. quick, dry, refreshing finish. Light-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. a bit watery at times, but maintained its composure well enough. I’d drink it again, especially on a hot day.

Straw color with a tallish, big bubbled, slowly diminishing white head. Light caramel and caramel hop scents. Some grains come in and give this a simple smelling brew. Grains and malt flavors in the start. Some caramel and floral hops flavors sneak in. Finish is lightly acidic and boarding on metallic. Some corn and grains in the linger. A simple american blond ale. noncaloric (684) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 24, 2009
Pours medium gold with a voluminous white head that becomes a glass-coating sheet of white lace. Ongoing effervescence. Pale malt aroma, with a bit of a yeasty twang to it. Flavor disappoints, malts are noticeably stale, lactic. Bit of a caramel bite to it, also a bit of metallic twist. Thin bodied, watery consistency.
