This was in a Berghoff sample pack and was called Rock River Red Ale...I’m assuming it’s the same thing. Anyway, nice copper body with a thin but lasting white head. The aroma is very light, but I can note some citrus and caramel. Clean, bright palate with lots of carbonation. The flavor is surprisingly good. Sweet up front...caramel and maybe apple. Clean and hoppy at the end. Seems a bit more like a lager than a pale ale. Good brew, though.
Red pour from draft at berghoff in Ohare airport. White head. Sweet and fruity aroma. Fruity, malty, cherry, and somewhat hoppy flavor. Pleasantly surprised with this bth122 (1576) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 7, 2014
Draft at Chicago airport. Amber brown color. Smaller head. Aroma of some caramel malts. Taste has some decent bitter hops to it and caramel malt. Medium light bodied. Average carbonation. Not too shabby.

This was an okay beer, definitely sessionable, but mostly because it was nearly characterless. Slightly sweet but mostly just bready malts. Patrickctenchi (6627) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - AUG 30, 2013
Pours amber with a slight orange tint....short, off-white head.
Bready, peppery aroma.
Caramel, spice, cloying fruit, apple-peel....
Sweet and malty....
APA? I think not. VatMasterson (71) - Texas, USA - AUG 22, 2013
Chicago O’Hare airport draft, decent aroma, pours decent head too. Rich flavor and typical balance between malt sweet and Hops of a Wisconsin Red Ale. I would pay for it again.

Deep red pour with a thin head. Taste is full of caramel. Very sweet. Biscuit aroma. Slight bitter finish. Easy drinking. Medium mouth. Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 19, 2013
Not much going on for aroma, slight hops and vague sweet malt. When the bar girl said the restaurant’s beers are from ’Monroe, wisCAHNsin’ (you know how she said it.) I knew what was up. Taste is more of the same, with some metal added. All that aside, at the right price this stuff is pretty doable. Fredis23 (564) - Hickory Hills, Illinois, USA - MAR 10, 2013
Just like name - Red. Just a hint of hops, easy to drink. overall decent but nothing stands out to separate from the crowd. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - FEB 23, 2013
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours a clear light amber with a thin bubbly head and no lacing, aroma is more of malt and just a hint of old hops,
the flavor is of light hop water with a slight finish of malt, ugh. Christpuncher (3135) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Pretty decent red beer. Similar to a lienenkougel red but with much more flavor. Would probably no get again
