30/I/16 - 75cl bottle @ Nieuwjaarsreceptie Gentse Biervereniging - BB: n/a (2016-87) Thanks to Jan VDK for sharing the bottle!BoBoChamp (5755) - Gent, BELGIUM - JUN 18, 2010
Little hazy blond to orange beer, creamy irregular off-white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving some lacing. Aroma: malty, grains, caramel, cow fodder, hay. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots and lots of ripe banana, rather sweet and sugary. Aftertaste: banana milk shake, way too sweet and sugary. Where is this Erembodegemse hop of which they seem so proud? It’s not in the beer, I guess...
75cl, as Hogewegse Berghop, new exclusive brew Anno 2009, thx to Jerre!, complex brew, spicy and heavy, not balanced, clear, good head, nice brew Jerre (3408) - Waregem, BELGIUM - APR 5, 2010
Taste 03.04.2010 with friends. Bottle, 75cl, from AD Delhaize Erembodegem.
Little hazy golden color, with a nice white head.
Aroma hops, good doses.
Taste this is a good beer for people who look for a hoppy beer,
not extreme but good. Little sweet, hopsbitterness, some fruity touch. CafeeOndineke (35) - Melle, BELGIUM - DEC 2, 2009
Erembodegemse Berghop, 75cl, from a village with a great hopgrowing history(see their heraldry, it has hops on it)..at the turn of their tide, there is only one hopfarmer left, the locals decide to bring out a tripel. Still it is not locally brewn, but the hops could get a farming boost by this. The beer: a neutral tripel, not bad, easy drinkable. One for the masses.
