3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Coffee, chocolate, roast, and nuts in the aroma. Flavor starts smooth and sweet, with roast coffee bitterness in the finish. Another good effort from a local brewery.
A bold coffee and chocolate. Brown opaque body with a thin mildly tan head. Has a smooth coffee and chocolate taste.. Drinkable and smooth to finish. Not overpowering in any way. A good Porter for beginners or the experienced beer drinker. Quick3Beers (1424) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - SEP 2, 2016
Pours a rich dark brown from a bottle, thick head quickly dissipates. Cadbury chocolate aroma turns into Dunkin Donut coffee in the mouth. Very fizzy, like a soda. Some might like these qualities, but they mostly turn me off, especially DD coffee, blech. AirForceHops (7820) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAY 5, 2015
650 ml bottle purchased at RedStone Liquors, Stoneham, MA. The appearance is a dark garnet color with thin lasting head until the final sip.The aroma shows chocolate upfront with a mild roasted coffee bean and a hint of ash.holygrowler (5) - - SEP 6, 2014 does not count
The body and texture of the beer is good for the style. Creamy texture with a medium body. The flavor is just as the aroma, chocolate, light hints of char with the roasted coffee flavor in the finish. Standard coffee Porter but does have easy drinkability and is crafted well. A nice after dinner brew.
Great coffee flavor with a nice mouth feel. A one finger head upon finishing the pour which dissipated moderately. WillRunForBeer (2766) - Massachusetts, USA - MAY 17, 2014
Bottle at THOB share. Pours coca cola brown with an off white head. Aroma is all coffee. Medium bidy, strong but not bitter coffee flavor.

Excellent offering by a small local brewer. This is their third offering, and their first seasonal offering. Plenty of room for tweaking the recipe, but worth a try.

Bottle from Mansfield. Pours out a dark ruby black. Aroma of coffee and malts. Flavor is smooth and roasty, with lingering coffee notes. Mouthfeel is on the thin side though. Just OK overall. I am not a big porter drinker, but it’s nice to try a local effort.
