22oz bottle shared courtesy of weeare138. Poured a medium and clear brownish color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of coffee grounds, lactose, and some chocolate. Tastes of lighter coffee, chocolate and roasted malts. sarah3961 (29) - allston, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 28, 2006
Pours dark brown. I didn’t find the aroma to be overwhelmingly coffee- but the aftertaste definitely is. I would drink this one again. Some sweet caramel-like undertones. beerbill (3618) - Laurel, New York, USA - JAN 26, 2006
Bottle. Pours a very dark reddish brown with a light mocha colored head. Aroma is overwhelmingly coffee. Flavor is less dominated by the coffee, but still very much in the forefront. Strong bitterness, which I guess comes from the beans. Also some roasted malt flavors present. Chewy mouthfeel. I wonder if they make a decaf version?! howie (549) - DeForest, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2005
Coffee extract? Well maybe that’s the way to go as my notes say "lots of fresh coffee, holy shit!" This was a great drinkable porter with heavy coffee aroma and flavor. Nice! tronraner (2459) - Walland, Tennessee, USA - DEC 7, 2005
Bottle. Pours deep ruby-black with khaki head. A crisp coffee aroma dominates, with some sweet malt and wood. The flavor is light malt, quite a bit of earthy hops, coffee, brown sugar, and semi-sweet chocolate. I actually like this quite a bit... good for casual drinking. Of course, I really like coffee, too.

Brown in color with a small off-white head. Aroma of mild fruit, coffee and roasted malt. Flavor is bitter, roasty, coffee like yet with noit as much balance as others. A good beer, even though I’m not a coffee fan. Mads Langtved (2240) - Copenhagen K, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2005

Very roasted, sweet and with loads of coffee. Quite heavy porter, in spite of the low ABV. Interesting beer.
I liked their regular porter. I thought this would better. I was wrong. Massive bitter, overroasted, over-extracted coffee, thick, grainy, chewy, yucky. Couldn’t finish the bottle. Paskal (146) - La Prairie, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 27, 2005
Bouteille-Arôme de café , de malte et de caramel. Liquide noir opaque avec mousse brunatre dissipante. Très aqueuse. Goût de café et malte rôti.--Bottle-Sweet coffee, malt and caramel aromas. Black liquid with fast dissiping brownish foam. Very watery. Coffee and roasted malt taste. Sregnar35 (1033) - Rotterdam, New York, USA - OCT 18, 2005
Nice, mild coffe flavored porter. This isn’t a very flavor heavy beer, but still satisfying. Very smooth and mellow roasted coffe and chocolate with a nice hoppy back bite.
