A light colored, medium bodied, full flavored American style Ale. Steel Rail E.P.A. is our flagship product that has a full malt flavor and is balanced with a pronounced hop flavor and bitterness.

Bomber. Pours slightly hazy golden/yellow with a thick white head that fades quickly. Light aroma citrus with light coffee notes. Flavor citrus with slightly carbonated and light body. Not my fav type of beer. Finish is long and smooth but otherwise eaves little to remember it by.

22 ounce bottle
A fairly average pale ale doesn't stand out except for the low price point. Given the option I'd probably grab a few more bombers of Berkshire stuff to sample the full range since they only cost about $4.99 each. Any more expensive though and it would probably become a pass.

Aroma / Appearance - A polished golden body glows under the thin veneer. Lemons, Rtiz crackers, and orange polish bind together a run of the mill pale ale.

Flavor / Palate - Mild pine, Pledge furniture polish, and base malts fade into place after a few sips. After established a so-so foothold they then fade into a clean unremarkable finish. Nothing stands out as a glaring flaw but by the same token there's nothing to set this apart from any other by the numbers pale ale.

A middling pale ale. A little stale, light sweetness. Definite more by its light caramelly malt body. Tried for the first time back in 2010.

From old tasting notes. Hazy brassy gold color. Small white head. Fruity malt nose. Soft semisweet toasted malt flavor hints at orange peel and honey. Very fruity and refreshing.

tapefuzz (930) - Massachusetts, USA - JUL 21, 2017
Draught. Pours clear yellow with a moderate white head. Aroma is yeast, corn, cereal and dull lemon. Taste is yeast, lemon-ish citrus (not really sweet but still lacking the sharpness or tartness of lemon), and bread. Very yeasty and somewhat astringent finish. Light body. Average carbonation. Watery, crisp mouthfeel.

Slipstream (2720) - USA - MAY 7, 2017
Fairly bland, typical brew. Pretty sweet, might have corn or rice in it. Light on the hops, with a light, nutty taste. Eh.

Similar to a euro lager but not in a good way. Bland taste, off-putting smell. Would not recommend

22oz bottle 11/101/6 (Kappy’s-Medford)-38° in Shaker-Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma of hops and malt. Taste of the same with a bit of dryness and not much hops. This light bodied brew is not very hoppy or tasty.

IndianaRed (5127) - Boise, Idaho, USA - NOV 1, 2016
Bottle dull hazy light amber. Brief of white head quickly fading to a thin skin. Moderate toasted malt flavors. Some bitterness but not really hoppy. Late metallic bite. Not very good.

Can. Hazy bright yellow with a big fluffy head. Aroma is Pilsner malt and corn. Light and crisp feel. Taste like flavored seltzer. Very bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Got a 6-pack of this in October on a white water rafting trip with Erica, Alice, Ian. Finishing up the last one today (tells you what I thought of it?). Smells metalic which might be either in my mind due to the name or b/c it came from a can. Kind of chewy and bready; malt-forward yet somehow still bitter. Don’t like that combo. Not a fan of the style or this take on it.
