(on bottle)A tart sent of that rotten fruit I just love. I also like bocks, so dips for the style. But it is way too high carbonated; only the sugar tastes can get through that and the experience gets spoiled. Too bad, maybe it´s better von vass?

Dark bown body, small off-white head. Weak malts in the nose. Falvor is sweet malty, but very weak. Not very good.

Fine off-white head on a clear dark brown body. Sweet and rather alcoholic aroma with a bit of roasted malt. Sweet malty and brown sugary flavor. Some alcohol also. Way overrated imo!

Nice nutty taste with hint of smoke. A nice Autumn brew that satisfies. Good dark color with a nice foamy head. Malty aftertaste that is pleasant.

On tap. Beautiful deep red amber color with a small white head. Aroma is extremely strong of molasses. Silky smooth with a little caramel malty sweetness. Good stuff.

eraserhd10 (226) - new haven, Connecticut, USA - NOV 30, 2003
A terrific bock on an chilly November's eve, perfect to conclude the long Thanksgiving weekend. Post-gluttony. Post-turkey. Post-family. I was served this on tap in a tall, thin .5 litre beer mug. Deep, intense mahogany with slight head. Taste of caramel, honey, everso slightly salty yet smooth. Almost a root beerish flavoring. Coats the palate thoroughly. A grand finish!

Bottled. Mahogany coloured. Softly malty, full bodied, well balanced and bitter. A true bock!

expected this to be pretty good after liking their schwarzbier. thick texture. combines dark chocolate, fish sauce and golden syrup nicely
