Tap @ Gerichtslaube - brown beer with a small head. Taste is essentially that of a malt-bonbon. Sweet dark malts, toffee, cane sugar. Short, rather dry finish. Okay.

Vom Faß im Restaurant Zur Gerichtslaube, Berlin. - Tiefdunkel, reichlich graubrauner Schaum. - Angenehm dunkelmalzig und kräftig malzsüß, beinahe zu süß aber geschickt abgeschmeckt mit dezenten Röstaromen und einem Hauch Fruchtigkeit. Mild rezent, vollmundig. Kaum bitter. - Gut trinkbar aber ohne besonderes Interesse.

Draught @ Zur Gerichtslaube, Berlin. Pours hazy dark brown with airy, rocky off-white head. Clear arom of roast and caramel malt, with notes of hops and yeast. Roasty flavour with sweet notes of caramel malt. Touches of hops and yeast. Roasty aftertaste. Lively carbonation. Rich body and smooth mouthfeel. A very decent Schwarzbier

pivnizub (10836) - Bochum, Porř, GERMANY - OCT 18, 2014
Draught: Literally black with a faint ruby sheen; clean sweetish toasty-toasty nose with a decent touch of black currant; light to medium bodied, slightly drier sweet and bitter flavor; both malty sweetness and malty bitterness in the mildly lingering finish. Not bad, indeed…

Svesse (8821) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - SEP 7, 2014
(Draught at Zur Gerichtslaube, Berlin, 23 July 2014) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, caramel and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with caramel, chocolate, coffee, burnt sugar and a gentle bitterness. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty but not very complex. Quite enjoyable.

On tap @ Zur Gerichtslaube, Berlin. . Bell’equilibrio e molto armonica.

ganache (6065) - New Jersey, USA - JAN 31, 2012
Draught at Zur Gerichtslaube. Black with a creamy tan head. Pretty roast in the nose with some chocolate. Light body, gentle roast, surprisingly fruity but not all that sweet. Very light-bodied, creamy, suuuuper süffig! Neither of these two brewed for this restaurant show the flaws I normally associate with their brewer (Kindl).
