Crisp palate, slightly dry but not overly so. Smooth dark malt, not roasty or bitter. Some subtle caramel leads to a crisp finish with a splash of minerals. Very drinkable dark lager.

Bottled. Dark reddish black with rich head. Roasty smokey salami aroma. Balanced sweetness, firm maltiness. Salty, bitter finish. (Damn you motelpogo, how am I supposed to drink when I keep laughing hysterically upon reading your rating?)

Papsoe (25054) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - APR 24, 2006
(Bottle 50 cl) Pours a very pretty, clear mahogany with a warm, reddish hue and a thick, creamy, light brown head with good retention. Delicate aroma of roasted malt and an almost vinous edge. Medium body with roasted, malty accents and a touch of dried fruit. Also a hint of chocolate. Vague burned edge, without making it bitter at all. A unique and perfect balance in this beer. 240406
