Aroma: Light chocolate, roasty Appearance: Clear, near-black body. Small, light brown head. Flavour: Medium-light coffee, chocolate. Medium-dry finish, dries out as the beer progresses. Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation. Overall: A very good beer, the aromas and flavours were just a bit low for style. 500 ml bottle, poured, shared. Thanks ChewyBeer! 3D. 500ml bottle: Pours a dark brown with thin tan head. Aromas of roasted coffee beans and dark chocolate. Medium bitterness, medium light bodied and medium light carbonation. Overall the roasted malts give the beer a more bitter note and then finishes quite dry.

Bottle 500ml (its appearence deserves separate excitation) Note: I do not understand the sense of this style and I am afraid I underappreciate it, but I’ll try to have my rate fair. Firstly, it is not my first nor second beer by Bernard to present extensive gushing, this time I was prepared and haven’t lost much:) POURS dark ruby-brown (similar to coca-cola), beige head dessipates quickly. Large bubbles. NOSE is malty, but not too much. Little hints of weathered hop. Cartboard. MOUTH is malty, low and short bitterness (malty, not hopy), a little caramel. PALATE: moderate carbonation, watery, drinkable. Low-bodied OVERALL: Neither of the sensations is strong/remarkable. These are the properties of the style, however it’s not what I search for.

From 32 Great Power. In Teku glass. At lunch, with rice soup + san jacobos. Light body, pleasant initial sweetness and a good herbal hop bite to compensante at the end. 5 months after BB date and still in good shape

Bottle Appearance: black, opalescent, with big beige head. Aroma: rather weak, sweet, bread with dark chocolate Taste: simple, sweet, some chocolate like notes, and rather low, nice bitterness The beer was watery and easy to drink. Nothing much happens in it, but one should remebenr that it’s only 12 degrees Plato.

Bottle. Black / very dark brown, with hint of red. Very malty (roasty malts, liquorice, chocolate, coffee). Very smooth and full-flavoured. Sweet malty with slightly bitter hoppy finish. Very drinkable. Nice beer! (2011-01-19)
