COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amber Lager
Bernard’s Amber Lager is a unique half-dark lager produced by an original brewing recipe of the Barnard’s Family Brewery. The light caramel-type malt endows this beer with a balanced bitter taste, fine toffee aroma, and full body. It is an unpasteurized beer enriched with yeast during bottling.

0,5L bottle from supermarket in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. Scents of malts, ginger, some hops, some licorice. Caramel coloured body. Dark brown to amber body. Taste of hops, grains, roasted malts. Mouthfeel normal, just as a beer, well balanced and easy to drink. Aftertaste of bread, sweet malts, a mild ending. Good dark beer.

Bottle at Prague airport. Clear dark brown-red. Dry aroma of lightly roasted malt some nuts. Rather sweet, earthy hoppy, some nuts and a little chocolatey taste. Body's rather light, long and nutty finish. Nice.

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2017 Bottle from a gas station in Balchik. Color is dark red. Smells like roasted nuts and caramel. The taste has a hint of nuts and grains with medium sweetness and bitterness. It has poor head retention. The bitterness doesn't last till the finnish. It's tasty, but that's all.

Pours dark amber with a medium head. Aroma of roast malts, toffee, nuts. Taste of roast malts, caramel, medium malty bitterness. Bitter finish.

Appearance Pours a clear deep red, with a creamy and thick tan head
Aroma Nuts, caramel, butterscotch, burnt sugar, roast malts, toasted bread, hints of noble hop aromas, some green apple on the finish
Taste Medium low sweetness, medium bitterness
Palate Medium-heavy body, average carbonation

This beer is distinct from other polotmavý, as it is more dry and bitter than many other brands. It is reminiscent of the Norwegian style of amber lager, as produced by Aass and Frydenlund (Both labeled "Bayer")

One of my first degustated Czech Beers. It has a amber color, rocky head, white foam, and a very nice caramel aroma. For me, it was a light beer, one of that beer’s that you can drink 3 or 4.

As Bernard rezane. Clear bronze with little beige head. Aroma is stale hops dust and slight malt herbs. Taste is slightly sweet buttery with lots of dusty starchy bitter malt. Drinkable in quantities but thats it.
