Bottled. Golden colour, a bit hazy. Foam is big fluffy and white, which leaves some lace. Aroma is sweet malts, grass and some hints of sweetness. Flavour is malty and some grassyness. Also caramel is there, to balance it up a bit. The caramellish malts turns into smooth sweetish hops in finish. Overall, quite sweet, but still wellbalanced by hops. don’t think of the aroma or smell the aroma while drinking and it is good. omhper (25831) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 2, 2005
Bottled. Deep golden, firm head. Sweetish with clean mouthfeel. The lovely oily butterscotch character that used to be the trademark of the Bernard brewery before Moortgat takeover is completely gone. Some citric hops tries in vain to cover the void behind it, but with a too clean malt profile Bernard’s beer has nowadays more character of standard international lagers than the top of the line Czech pilseners it used to be. (Bottle 50 cl) It’s really hard to pinpoint the differences between Czech pilsener-styles. This is golden with a huge head, some impurities and heavily carbonated. Malty with a hoppy finish. Unusual. Beerhunter111 (22974) - P´Castle, GERMANY - NOV 17, 2017
50cl swing top bottle. A clear deep golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting white head. Aroma of floral and grassy hops, straw. Taste of sharp grainy malt, grassy hops, floral bitterness, corn, long bitter finish, interesting! Leighton (22555) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 23, 2010
Bottle in Bulgaria. Pours a rich honey-gold with a large bubble, white head that recededs quickly. Aroma is malt, metal and some caramel. Flavor has light sweetness, then slightly earthy bitters and metalic notes. Light to medium in body with lively carbonation. Finishes crisp. Not bad.
