On tap at Richtar Jakub. Huge beige head. Almost black colour. Aroma fruity, honey. Taste light roasted, very light coffee, a bit watery and dull considering ABV. Light fruity acidic. Finish fruity, bit earthy earthy tart. Good. pivnizub (10614) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - NOV 10, 2012
Lahev (diky, Quack-Ducku!): Deep, very deep amber coloured, presumably hazy, sweetish toasty-caramelly nose, a tinge of molasses and vinous fruits underneath; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; chalk in the robust sweetish-roasty finish, followed by a lingering and balancing bitter-malty finish. Good... kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - OCT 23, 2012
Big thanks to quack-duck for that one. 1l PET bottle. Looks interesting. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Sourish aroma. Starts strong, intense malty and quite fruity like beeries. Modest sourish. Reminds me in some ways of a good red wine. Well balanced fruity finish. Interesting beer! Cuso (8687) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - OCT 2, 2012
Tap at Hostinec Richtar Jakub. Aľost black color with huge beige color. Roasted malt, earthy notes in aroma. Médium bodied beer. Taste of roasted malt, coffee, tofee, caramel. Light coffee bitterness in finish. Drinkable beer. omikr0n (927) - Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC - JUN 25, 2012
Bottle from the brewery. Pours dark brown color with barely any head. Aroma is malt, caramel and plum. Taste is malt, caramel and coffee but also wood and pepper (huh?). Interesting beer in the way it’s quite different than other dunkels, but the taste just doesn’t fit me.

On tap at the brewpub. Not bad, but not very interesting either. Dark colour, sweet and fruity taste, sweetish aroma. Perhaps I was so put off by the absolutely atrocious Zlaty Kun, that I couldn’t enjoy this. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - JAN 21, 2012
on tap at the very crowded brewery. deep brown, chocolate and red berry aroma, some caramel and lots of alcohol coming through with an orechovice character Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 1, 2009
1l petka bought at the brewery. Hazy dark brown colour, tiny beige head. Aroma of smoked malt. Full-bodied, intensive malty base with good smoke flavours, hints of caramel, toffee, roasted malts and some shy hopy in the finish. The beer is intensively smokey, I would classify it as a smoked. Smooth and creamy texture, probably due to the fine carbonation.
A smoked beer disguised as 18° special - what a lovely surprise from Beroun! swooper (1247) - Cambridge and Kladno(Czech Rep.), Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - JAN 29, 2009

Plastic bottle, bought at the brewery. Fruity aroma, hint of sweet caramel and pepper. Hazy dark brown colour. The flavour has a good roasted note, a bit nutty. The finish is drier with some barley bitterness. Starts off good, finishes mediocre.
