Lahev (diky, Quack-Ducku!): Deep, very deep amber coloured, presumably hazy, sweetish toasty-caramelly nose, a tinge of molasses and vinous fruits underneath; moderate to solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, quite soft; chalk in the robust sweetish-roasty finish, followed by a lingering and balancing bitter-malty finish. 1l petka bought at the brewery. Hazy dark brown colour, tiny beige head. Aroma of smoked malt. Full-bodied, intensive malty base with good smoke flavours, hints of caramel, toffee, roasted malts and some shy hopy in the finish. The beer is intensively smokey, I would classify it as a smoked. Smooth and creamy texture, probably due to the fine carbonation.
A smoked beer disguised as 18° special - what a lovely surprise from Beroun! Cuso (8950) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - OCT 2, 2012
