(Keg at the market, 20160614) The beer poured black. Its head was medium sized and lightly brown. Aroma had caramel, toasted malts and treacle. Palate was rather full bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, treacle, caramel, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was sweet, burnt and bitter. A tasty roasty brew.

Keg at the Brewpub in Beroun Day 4 of Fergus and Sarah’s Czech jaunt. 2/10/14. Aroma is big blue cheese and cured meats, roast and dung, earthy. Clear mahogany brown / ruby red coloured pour with a fleeting cream head. Flavour is tangy earthy dirt, straw, harsh roast, cow pat. Autolysis maybe? Palate is tangy, medium body, moderate varbonation. Somewhat infected.
