PET bottle. Very dark brown, small but firm head. Light coffee aroma, Sweet and very caramelly with some molasses. More full fodied than expected from a 13° with plenty of buttery rounded malt. Almost no bitterness. The molasses in combination with excessive sweetness gets a bit much.

Draught at the brewpub. Weak caramelly aroma. Almost black colour. Nice stable light brown head. Good roasted flavour. A hint of roasted barley. Some caramel. Quite subtle, but good. The mouthfeel is slightly thin, but that is OK for the style, I think. A Schwarzbier in my book. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2008
