Sampled at GABF2015 in Denver. In the tasting glass this was amber with a white head. Nose of caramel mats, some stone fruit, and citrus. Light to medium in body. There is a nice flavor with a nice blend of malts and hops. Light bitter finish. Quite nice.

Surprisingly Nice roasted malt character and smoothness for such a small beer. Not much else there, but pleasant enough for the style.

jredmond (8645) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 9, 2014
Sampled at GABF 2014. Pours a deep amber mahogany body with light white head. Aroma is soft grains, vague fruits and a light malty character. Mouthfeel is lightly bitter with notes of lemon, grains, malt and finishing with a nutty character.

Pours a thin head on a clear red colored body. The aroma is a big malty smell. Nice. The taste is malty with mild lemon bitterness. Good balance. The texture is smooth with low carbonation. It’s a nice ale and easy to drink.

DTM (870) - Vacaville, California, USA - AUG 9, 2013
Part of the sampler from the brewery just outside of Winters. Pours a brown color with a hint of toffee aroma. Just not much to this one. Easy to drink, but just not much complexity. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - JUL 29, 2013
On draft at The Olde Depot. It pours a really attractive brownish ruby red color with a khaki head. The aroma is dry and toasty with hints of dark plum, cocoa and coffee. The flavor is light with some more dark plum notes, yet not sweet. Mostly dry toast and a hint of roasted malt. Lower carbonation is true to the style. Really well made.

oRos (1674) - sacramento, California, USA - JUN 27, 2013
On tap at capitol beer and taproom. Pours darker copper/ruby. Taste is roasted malts but has a sweet finish. Like a light stout.

3.3
popery (2231) - San Francisco, California, USA - APR 12, 2013
Toronado. Pours a cloudy reddish brown. Little off white head. Kinda foamy but I got a very full pour. Aroma is sorta weak. Mostly just a light caramel malt tone. Needs more spice and general oomph. Taste is mildly sweet. It actually tastes a lot like an okay mild and probably would be better on cask (at the time, I had it confused with Upright Whippersnapper, which is a rye beer). Nice fresh grain note with some toasty highlights. Feel is relatively gentle. Low carbonation. Nice enough finish. This is a pretty nice beer, but I don’t get much rye character (again, confusion) and I’d love to find it on hand pump.
