UPDATED: APR 9, 2003 What a magnificent site to these tired old eyes to see but a beautiful Imperial stout setting in a glass, the head Brobdingnagian in size, spumescent in texture. The color a winsome light chocolate brown, as the beer deliquesces, a fine sheet of lace is left behind to hide the glass. Toasted grain dominates the otherwise malt sweet nose, coffee like, fresh and tends to make you salivate in anticipation of the first taste. Start is ambrosial and rich in malt with the top full in its feel to the palate. Finish has a dastardly spicy hop bite, the acidity determined and the aftertaste dry as dust, quite a nice stout in this dark beer lovers humble opinion.

For being a mellow example of the style, this is seriously tasty. .........
