Sample from 2016 batch at the taproom during the "GABF Throw-down at Beryl's!" on 10/05/2017. Clear copper-gold color with a thin white head that dissipates quickly to a sparse outer ring. Sparse strings of lacing. Aroma of oak, malt and yeast. Light to medium body with flavors of vinous oak, roast malt and fruity yeast. The finish is oaky with a wine and malt aftertaste. Above average overall. HippieFee (483) - Portland, Oregon, USA - JUL 8, 2017
Draft - Looks sorta like ginger ale in color and the small bubbles. Dry on the palate. Slight alcohol taste to it. Kinda tastes like grape juice. It does taste like a heavy white wine. Interesting flavor combo. Think of it as a double IPA but for white wine. mcberko (19803) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 4, 2017
On tap at Beryl’s, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is rather subdued, with not a whole lot of anything. Flavour is similarly identity-less, with light wine, booze, and seltzery notes. Not impressed with this. Boring and lacking any discernible character. Weak. rosskyle (796) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 11, 2016
Served on tap at Beryls. Hazy Amber color with a white head. Sweet fermented nature. Unique wine cheery malt flavor. Heavy body. A bit too much wine malt for me.

Full pour of the ’15. Looks light amber in color with a clear body and firm white head. The barrel has imparted sweet oak with vanilla hints and distinct vinous character. The palate is medium dense. Sweet wooden flavors highlight a toasty malt body. It’s an interesting combination and expertly balanced. No real hop flavor remains, but a moderate bitterness exists to keep the sweeter flavors in check.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a hazy gold with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is white wine and oak. Medium mouth, dry hop, light wine, nice dry finish, very good. bubbleflubber (2244) - Swannanoa, North Carolina, USA - JUL 5, 2015
On draught at the brewery, this pours a light golden into the glass with a soapy head that leaves light soap lacing. The smoked fruit nose is very nice. Dry citrus, woody tones, and light smoke in the mouth. Lively mouthfeel, dry palate and complexity meet in this nicely-aged Dampfbier.

On tap at the brewery. Pour is clear golden with a big white head and good lacing. Lightly smoky, tangy, herbal, heavy oaky, some white wine, and musty aroma. Taste is tangy, lightly floral, some grass, biscuit, a small hint of smoke, oak heavy, and musty with a spicy finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Icould fuck with this. cubs (10740) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - APR 24, 2015
On tap @ the brewery. Light golden appearance with a white head. Spicy, fruity nose with notes of apple, pear, white grapes, and peppery. Medium light body. Dry, somewhat grainy flavor. White fruit along with tannins and oak in the flavor. Fine. notalush (5955) - Lakewood, Colorado, USA - FEB 1, 2015
Tap at the brewery - this is the unsmoked, summer version of this beer, aged in wine barrels - clear light gold - soapy lace - the summer version of this beer lends itself well to the wine barrel - frothy, full mouthfeel - nose and flavor are light, crisp, fruity - the barrel simply adds light grape must and light tartness - light minerality in the finish - subtle, but fairly tasty.
