Bottle purchased at Gloucester Quays food festival. Pours a dark reddish-brown colour, clear with low carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, hint of coffee and slightly fruity with fine hop character. Taste is full bodied and well balanced - big warming tastes of dark berry fruits, molasses, some coffee set against a slightly spicy hop character. A really good beer, a nice discovery. anders37 (27907) - Malmö, SWEDEN - JUL 20, 2017

Deep dark color and a bubbly tan head. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium body and a soft carbonation level. Dry bitter ending. A lot of oak in this one. A bit to powerful and did not match the rather thin malt base and low alcohol.Rune (14072) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAR 7, 2017
[Cask at United Brethren in Chelmsford, England – shared with Rune a Sunday afternoon]
Half-pint, cask ale served in a mug at United Brethren in Chelmsford. Dark brown body. Bubbly ring to the rim of the glass. Dotted spots on the glass. Mild caramel nose, hints of dried fruits. Bread, wood and dried fruity flavours. Spiced bitter ending. Satisfying (Shared with Cunningham 19.02.2017).
