Growler. Pours gold with an off white head. Smells of currants, some funk, lots of tartness, some oaky hints. Tastes funky and tarte with some residual sugary hints and some currants show up as this warms. Lots of oakiness on the finish. Nice! SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 27, 2007
Sampled at GABF 2007. Pinkish golden color with a tart, but oaky aroma. Mild currants in the flavor, but most;ly a medium sourness. Not for me. BDR (2534) - Roseville, Minnesota, USA - DEC 14, 2007
Cloudy dark red body. Solid sour taste. Faint berries on the nose. Funk and fruit in the body. GABF 2007. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - NOV 1, 2007
(Draught) Pours a murky purplish-amber body with small pinkish head. Aroma of grapes, berries, brett, and dustiness. Flavor of sour, black currants, earthiness, and oak with a tart, dry finish. redlight (2318) - Orlando, Florida, USA - OCT 17, 2007
Oak aromas, tanins and a little vanilla, some grapes and fruits, very wine like aromas. Pours cloudy purple, to very dark red. Mild tartness, a lot of oak, fruity, grapes and maybe raspberries in the flavor. It reminds me more of a flemish sour than a lambic, it lacks in good lacto acidic flavor and sourness. Still a good attempt and i did enjoy it.

Poured a very hazy berry color with a brown tint and small pink head. Very big yeasty funk aroma with notes of leather and barnyard. Some berry fruitiness mixed in. The flavor had a pleasant tartness, not too acidic. The Cassis part is a little light. Some sweetness. The flavor is light on the funk part. Fruity with a semi-dry finish. chriso (7533) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2006
On tap at the brewpub, July 2006. Darker pink colour. Really fine, funky aroma. Tart and sharp, with plenty of juicy fruit showing. One of the most authentic-tasting US fruit lambics I’ve tried. Very nicely done.

Hand-bottled sample courtesy of JHop: Pours a murky dark ruby with a lightly-lacing pinkish head. Complex, mildly funky, bretty aroma aroma has s good black currant presence. Body is a little thin, but has a fairly good balance between malty sweetness and tart fruitiness. An enjoyable and unique beer.
