Fine hops flavor is what you get here, and this is the only one I took a growler of, being as the beer sampler had some nice brews, that’s saying something! jason (1834) - Easton, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 31, 2008
Draft. Nice deep red body with thin head. Aroma was a very pleasant blend of grapefruit and hops. Flavor was lightly hoppy with a nice sweet malt taste and a very smooth body. Possibly the best Pale Ale I’ve ever had! DandyWolfFloyd (1202) - Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 31, 2010
The beer is full of beautiful malty caramel aromas, toasty, full of excellently balanced floral hops. The appearance is an orange amber color, slight off clear haze, with an appropriate light white head. The taste is full of excellent malt bodies exceptionally balanced with floral hops. The bitterness is light and a savory umami is here. A true tasting enjoyment. The feel is super smooth. The body is light to medium, with a creamy texture. The finish is long and silky smooth. The beer is very soft and warming, a true pale ale champion. DocLock (10659) - Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 14, 2005
Thanks to by brother in law for getting me a grwoler of this. Pours slight hazy dark straw with a two-finger, creamy, off-white head. Great lace. Aroma of hops, citrus, malt, some black pepper, spiciness, and floral esters. Tastes very hoppy, with floral esters, black pepper, and a finishing semi-dry astringent hop resiny feel. I honestly thought this was an IPA before I sat down to rate it today. Regardless of what you call it, it is a fine beer. Is CH-47 a code for a hop variety or a hop-contained carbon-hydrogen bond or something? jcwattsrugger (12418) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - NOV 26, 2006
GBof A PA-on tap-pours an offwhite head with gold color. Aroma is citrus-biting hops. Taste is citrus-biting hops, faint malt, dry. Good effervescence/OK carbonation.

[Cask, double dry-hopped] Poured a hazy amber color with a medium sized, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus fruits, toffee, light toasty dough, and a bit of pine. Taste of citrus fruits, light pine, some sweeter toffee, and a moderately bitter finish. On tap at BBW. Pours a translucent golden amber with a medium creamy off white head. Aroma of caramel malt, pine, floral and bread along with other citrus notes. Flavor of caramel malt, bready, pine, grapefruit, floral and orange. scraff (2121) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 23, 2009
Draft - Clear gold, thin white creamy head. Soft fresh pine and grapefruit aromas ride undertones of sweet malt throughout. Earthed pine and citric hop flavors balance well on a light caramel backbone. Light to medium bodied, medium carbonation, dry bitter finish. A well constructed pale ale... r464 (2360) - Earth, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 10, 2005
A nice amber color with a strong white head. A hoppy somewhat citrus aroma. The flavor has a sharp hoppiness to it, though not as strong as an IPA. There are hints of spice and fruit, perhaps leaning to an orange zest taste. I was hoping for even more hops, but this is still a crisp pale ale. I thought this was a nice pale ale. had a nice surprising hop presence to it, the amarillo seem to give it a good light citrus element. nice body, good overall.
