Black pour with a thin off white head .... aroma of chocolate malts, roasted and caramel malts .... taste is of chocolate malts, roasted malts, caramel malts and light bitter hops ..... has some cocoa to it .... finish is bitter and roasted with lingering caramel malts SteveOrz85 (249) - Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 14, 2016
12 oz bottle I picked up at Bethlehem brew pub. Served in chalice. Thinner tan head dissipates reasonably quick. A good amount of lacing on glass. Beer is black in color. No light comes through at all. Aroma is light roasted malts. Taste is lightly sweet up front followed by a very lightly bitter finish. Mostly toasted malts and some light hints of nut. Some earthiness. Has a lightly creamy texture. Medium bodied beer with average carbonation. Longer smooth finish. Over all a great porter, one of the best I have tried in the style. katrinaez (2137) - norristown, Pennsylvania, USA - DEC 13, 2015
Really nice thick and flavorful. Cocoa and barley malts roasted nutty good. High on the last of what they do right. Dark thick black. Tap hman43 (1720) - Pinehurst, North Carolina, USA - JUL 11, 2015
This brew pours dark brown with a full head that produces plenty of lacing. It has a chocolate aroma. It has a sweet chocolate aroma with some coffee highlights that produces a moderately bitter finish. retinadoc (240) - - MAY 3, 2015
Draft. Rich, caramel hoppy aroma. Slightly below average carbonation. Deep, dark brown color. Slightly sweet, tasty chocolate and coffee flavors. Smooth finish. Very nice example of a porter.

bottled - has a sweet, chocolatey aroma and flavor. Nice dark color. A pretty good porter overall. ryanscourt (1496) - Latrobe, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 11, 2015
Dark toasty flavors. Lighter body but doesn't tempt the boundaries of stout too much. grundsow (135) - Pennsylvania, USA - JUL 2, 2014
Not bad, really. Roasted and bitter. Rich, smooth and full-flavored. Something a little bit off though, can’t quite put my finger on it. Good beer though. boxofrane (2553) - Spring City, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 28, 2014
Draft at the brewpub. Pours clear brown with a small brown head. The aroma has bitter coffee, roasted malt, faint dark chocolate. The taste has a nice dark chocolate, slight bitterness from the roasted malt. Very nice. BiddleBrau (1221) - Fort Washington, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 23, 2014
Pours like a Coke, visible carbonation, brown head. Cocoa nose, hint of sweetness. On the maltier side, thinner palate, nice finish (hint of alcohol) with nothing harsh lingering. Go Mountain Hawks!!
