Black pour with a medium tan head. Roasty aroma with some coffee and chocolate. Smooth & sweet - solid stout. JAF737300 (1291) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 11, 2007
This was an outstanding oatmeal stout. I felt it was a winning version and had a nice flow with that excellent chocolate flavor. cbrixius (136) - Newberrytown, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 23, 2007
I stopped by with a buddy while passing through on work, and we decided to stop by for lunch and a couple brews. After selecting the ESB during my meal, I settled on the Oatmeal Stout for a pseudo dessert. This was the better selection, as the opaque brew was topped with a fine Guinness-like head. The aroma was all oatmeal. The texture was dry. A commendable job by a small brewpub. chriso (21656) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 18, 2006
On tap at the brewpub, July 2006. Very black, with a thin beige head. Lots of chocolate character witrh plenty of roasted grain. Distinctly dry for an oatmeal stout. Quite full and chewy. Very competent and tasty if not entirely typical of the style..

Poured a dark brown with redish edges, small head good lacing. Aroma was of chocolate roasted malts and very buttery. Flavor was of chocolate roasted malts. Not bad not amazing.

Regular old oatmeal stout, which I always enjoy. However, nothing stood out on this one, which was the second to last selection on my sampler. Dark color and burnt aroma and taste were on par. (5.3% ABV) Sammy (12762) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 19, 2006
Creamy brown, not that much cream despite 75% nitro. Surprsingly thin Literally, the bottom of the barrel accoreding to the Brewmaster. Where is the chocolate malt?Roast and some bitter hoppy just didnt all work together. Least rated of 8 half pints.

Pours a dark brown with some red when held to the light. Medium tan head that sustained and laced. Aroma of chocolate, oats but light overall. Flavor of oatmeal, chocolate, lactose and light coffee. Smooth mouthfeel. clueo (181) - Pennsylvania, USA - MAR 23, 2006
This is a great stout! It has a nice appearance and is very light and easy to drink. You can definitely taste the coffee and chocolate flavors. jcwattsrugger (12524) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 29, 2005
on tap-pours a creamy, milky tan head that laces. Color is deep brown. Aroma is malt. Taste is coffee, malt, creamy. Smooth, but not my taste.
