COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This barley wine is a blend of multiple batches of beer which were aged in different spirits oak barrels. Its complex aroma and taste of oak, dark and sweet caramel, dark fruits and berries is a product of a complex brewing combined with the long of time spent in oak barrels. It will cellar very well, but do not go into decades of ageing... It is a sipper and perfect to share on a special occasion.

Blend 1116 - 12,1 % alc, bordeaux violet wax.

Tap at Bevog Festival 2017. Dark brown with a tan rim. Nuts, sherry, grains, red wine shallots, dark cocoa. Light sweetness that builds up with it getting boozier, umami. Medium body with soft carbonation. Rather boozy, but very nice.

Butelka.

fkoolen (1285) - Maastricht, NETHERLANDS - AUG 17, 2017
UPDATED: AUG 17, 2017 Colorfully wrapped bottle, at home. Dark brown, slim but creamy beige head. Really intense roasted malty barley wine nose and taste with port wine vinous notes, figs, dades, mocha, butterscotch, toffee, coconut, vanilla, some business in the finish: very well balanced malty sweetness and booziness. Really lingering sweet roasted malty, vinous aftertaste. Huge body, low-medium carbonation, really soft and coating mouthfeel.

Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Bourbon nose, mild wood. Smooth palate, quite light and mildly dry, modest fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, touches of dark chocolate and toffee. Fruity bourbon dominates. Bitterish wood. Hard to tell what other barrels have been used, brandy I think, maybe a little rum. Finishes with some brown sugar and a whisper of coconut. Warming afterglow. Pretty tasty.
