Picked up a mini growler from the brewery. Pours no head whatsoever, pretty much just a thins ring around inside. Has a dark brown appearance with red hues. Weak lacing. Aromas of malted barley, tiny hints of vanilla, wheats. Flavours of dark roasted malts, coffee, a bit of chocolate and herbal and floral hops. Slightly bitter, doesn’t seem as bitter as noted at 56 ibu. Slick drying mouthfeel. Faint carbonation. Kind of a soapy finish. Weird mixture in this one. An ok brew. Growler from the brewery. Pours a dark brown colour with red highlights, but no head at all. Roasted malt nose with hints if coffee and molasses. Mild grassy hop eventually come out. Wet mouthfeel with a little dryness in the finish because of the hop. Roasted malt taste, but the hop takes over with a nice bitterness. The flavours from the hop do take a weird spin. A little too much on the wood side of things. Easy drinking, as not too thick and heavy for this dark beer. Not sure what hop is used in here, but not really a fan. sseb69 (1962) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 5, 2013
Bonne. Lubiere (14196) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 23, 2013
A murky dark brown IPA with a thin creamy dark mocha head. in aroma, smooth herbal hops with roasted malt with tonnes of ground coffee, herbal notes, OK. In mouth, a smooth roasted malt with grassy and grainy notes, with herbal hops, a bit subdued, OK. On tap at Arrow and Loon, Jan 17, 2012. rejtable (2864) - Ontario, CANADA - JAN 20, 2013
Pours cola with little head and some lacing. Nose is grassy. Aromas of grass, rubber bands, some roasted malt and maybe a light sweet caramel or toffee. Taste is light sweet with a good long bitter finish. Light body with medium carbonation. Nice enough effort, be nice if it felt bigger in the mouth.

32 oz growler. Pours a murky brown with a small off white head. Aroma is nutty and meaty. Taste features a grapefruity hoppiness, and some roasty malt. Fairly light bodied with a medium intensity but long lasting astringent finish. Light carbonation. Unique.
