COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Not your Bavarian grandfather’s wheat beer. We use grapefruit zest and pulp at different points in the process to insert the character of the fruit into the beer, and hops are carefully selected to emphasize the citrus notes. But don’t expect this to taste like the first course of Sunday breakfast; the fruit flavour is subtle, and the bitter quality of the grapefruit is balanced nicely by a bit of sweetness in the finish.

Mini growler picked up from the brewery. Hazy orange with an off white head. Grapefruit pulp with a bit of zest but it requires a fair amount of sniffing to get it, very slight wheat and not too much else; mild carbonation and body, plain but light sweetness on the palate, becomes dry with a bit of grapefruit again on the finish.

Tons of grapefruit on the nose. Citrus - lemon and grapefruit is most prominent. Light and bubbly with a little cracker and a bit of spice. Nice.

From a 473ml can. Gold colour with haze. Thin and bubbly white head. Grapefruity aroma with some grains. Taste is full of grapefruity hops and dry wheaty malts. Clean and dry and hoppy. An solid and well hopped wheat ale.

Can from Zehrs, Conestoga Mall. Bright citrus aroma. Hoppy and bitter, and not just from the hops. Citrus notes. Grapefruit finish.

2017/06/15 - Pours a cloudy, orange straw colour with a fluffy, white head that slowly dissipates and leaves moderate lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, biscuit malt, yeast, citrus peel, grass and floral/herbal hops. Taste is citrus (grapefruit, lemon, orange), herbal hops, peppery notes and biscuit malt. ABV well hidden. Mouthfeel is medium with lightly biting carbonation and a drying, mildly chalky finish. Not what I was expecting, but I found this refreshing and highly drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can from the LCBO. Cloudy pale gold under a slow fading fluffy white head. Nose is primarily citrus with grapefruit dominant along with a wheat background. Also has lighter notes of yeast and pepper. Very light sweet start with a light to medium bitterness and a light tartness in the finish. Mouth is medium- with average carbonation. Not a typical wheat. 8/4-/7+/4-/15

473ml can from LCBO. Slightly hazy bubbly gold, average white head. Smells a bit like a dry radler - grapefruit, fresh-cut grass, a little spicy. Taste is very mild - just some grapefruit and light bitterness - damned refreshing though! Light body, solid carbonation, finishes much slower than it should - nice fresh-squeezed grapefruit bitter linger. Good stuff!

Can shared with Jo and Seb. Aroma: burst of wheat, grapefruits, lemon, floral, abricot, mint. Initial aroma was really good then this is mint really present, too present. App: hazy light golden, small white head, good lacing. Taste and palate: medium body, silky, lots of grapefruits, light bitter finish. Overall: good beer. Really loved the aroma but the aroma changed in a heart beat. Anyway, easy to drink.
