Vac (2445) - San Diego, California, USA - JUN 30, 2008
Bottle shared by SDbruboy, thanks Cliff. Pours with a cloudy red-brown body topped by a thin to medium thick head with a good amount of lacing. It’s slightly sweet and malty with an underlying sour note, a touch of fruit and some yeasty notes. Medium bodied and slightly dry.

11/12/12/12/13/12

rederic (3344) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 13, 2006
Sampled at the mondial, hazy brownish hue, with a frothy tan-colored head, vineous fruitiness of plums, raisins, caramelized malt, port wine aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a winey acidic fruitiness, of dark fruits, plums, raisins, caramelized malt, brown sugar, hint of oakiness, leading towards a sweet winey aloholic finish.

Bottled. Hazy brown colour, minor white head. Strong alcohol, fruit and plum in the aroma. Flavour is alcoholic and plummy with hints of pepper and some other spices. Interesting beer, which has clear strong hints of alcohol, but not disturbing at all.

ogglethorp (919) - Ohio, USA - SEP 9, 2008
Bottle shared by moejuck, I think. Pours a dark amber color with a thin beige colored head. Aroma is oak, alcohol, vineous. Flavor is blast of alcohol reminiscient of grappa, vineous, oak, spice. Palate is medium bodied, medium carbonation, finished super hot. Decent stuff if you can get past the alcohol, definitely gets in the way of enjoying this one. Not good.
