Benzai (16311) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - SEP 22, 2016
Bottle shared @ Borefts Pre-tasting. Hazy autumnal reddish color, small off-white to beige head. Aroma reminds me of red wine, wood and oak. Taste red wine, wood, oak, moderately sour, wood sour. Not a beer for the faint hearted for sure, but it’s quite nice.

Bottle: Poured a hazy reddish color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of vinous notes with oak and cherry with some tart notes is quite nice. Taste is a nice mix of cherry and oak with some tart notes and a vinous feel. Body is full with good carbonation. Nice level of complexity with some great drinkability.

Backlog. Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy dark orange with bare white head. Fruity funk with oak and caramel. Very well balanced and the alcohol is well hidden. Nice.
