Bottle shared at Bytepalace. Nose is tart cherry with lots of pie like character. Crusty, fruity. Light tartness with even some notes of rhubarb. very good.

Caramel brown color. Fruity sour cider aroma. Funky lactose flavor, dry yet sweet as well. Hmmmm....hard to figure this one out. Just a little too sweet.

UPDATED: JUL 30, 2016 Draft pour. Pours a reddish orange with a sour, boozy, berry aroma. Nice blend of cherry, raspberry, and blackberry flavor. Tart berry finish. Very nice sour ale. Sour flavor that sticks around. Good stuff. UPDATE. Bottle poured at Eugene’s. Still solid. Excellent stuff. Even more sour than before.

Draft @ Saint Bock. Pours a hazy rusty sienna color with a finger of gaseous khaki foam. Nice mix of cranberry, cherry, basement murk and some solid vinous acidity, cider vinegar, wet wood and lingering tart funk.

Nische (2661) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUN 23, 2014
Coppered color with light head. Big aroma of red berries, vinegar and oak. Medium body & high complexity . Highly sour. Great beer.

4.3
baraciisch (3436) - California, USA - JUN 21, 2014
Deep amber plum color... Aroma is fairly light, notes of dark fruits, cherries, caramel, funk... Flavor is out of this world, hit of vinegar, huge notes of dark cherry, berries, dark fruits, tartness and oak on finish... Amazingly complex, hint of tobacco... World class sour ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Umeboshi aroma, bitter caramel. Pulpy plum flavor, liquor, oak, strong sour finish. Not my usual drink but a very well-crafted brew.

3.4
Taboada (1527) - Compostela (Galiza), SPAIN - JUN 5, 2014
Tasted at tap on 04/06/2014. Clear red brown colour with a big off white head. Aroma is sugar with dark and red fruits. Taste is high acid with red fruites, peaches and apples. Alcohol is high but well integrated in the taste. Taste is very intensive and, in my opinion, well balanced. Next one please!

4.2
Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - JUN 4, 2014
shared @ DE-CH-F-TriState tasting. Excellent as usual. Woud be interesting to compare with other vintages.

4.2
bastarda (506) - Freiburg, GERMANY - MAY 19, 2014
shared @ DE-CH-F-TriStateTasting, with special thanks to Embrouille! Nose: hints of white grapes, vinegar, oak, raspberries, taste has a pineapple-like touch, very surprising, also a very balanced beer, never could have guessed the abv.
