Bottle at Pibar, Lausanne
Cloudy amber color with red shades; medium sized compact head. The style is there; this year the aroma has more bread and feety impression (along with the usual malt, wood, fruit, light acetone), sweetish. Good body structure; semi-sweet malt flavor, with medium-sharp acidity, and some acetone; good fruity level; solid and complex; it has more sediment than the previous years.
Excellent as usual; the aroma is more elegant than the flavor.
Bottle sampled in 2017. Unclear orange reddish with a small off-white head. Strong and rather vinous aroma with citric fruit and mild acidity. Flavor is smooth and fruity, mild vinous, wood and pleasant fruity acidity. Fine balanced body and long lasting fruity, medium acidic aftertaste. Fantastic beer with an amazing balance between sweet and sour. Geokkjer (7667) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - SEP 1, 2017
UPDATED: SEP 1, 2017 Bottle. Pours deep amber with a tiny off-white. Aroma of dark fruits, citrus, fruitiness and yeast. Flavor is sweet and sour with some berries, malt, herbs and fruitiness. Medium body, average carbonation. rdixon77 (3107) - Georgia, USA - AUG 14, 2017

8/13/17. 750mL bottle thanks to Chris! Brown pour with a nice khaki head. Lovely sour aroma, tart, hint of acetic, oak, dark cherries. Nice sour flavor, puckering, touch of acetic, acidic, cherries, leather, oak. Tasty! Sigmund (8033) - Tau, NORWAY - JUN 20, 2017
750 ml green bottle, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 11%. Beautiful reddish brown colour, small off-white head. Strong aroma of red wine vinegar and oak. Sweet and sour flavour, loads of red wine vinegar, also oak. Too sweet and sour for me. Not my cup of tea at all. Waste of money.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, 20 May 2017) Dark red colour with frothy, beige head. Fruity, sourish nose with red fruit, balsamic vinegar, oak wood and caramel. Fruity, tart taste with notes of red fruit, sour cherries, almonds, caramel, balsamic vinegar and a tart finish with a light sweetness. Low bitterness. Better balanced and with a milder acidity than the 2014 sampled a couple of days earlier. Really tasty and in excellent balance, considering its strength. Excellent beer. tmrmwel (2314) - Bergen, NORWAY - DEC 31, 2016
Bottle, vintage 2012. Pours cloudy mahogany, with a small creamy head. Aroma is tart fruity and red berries, as well as leather and wooden notes. Medium body, with very soft carbonation. Flavour is tart, light acetic, with wine vinegar, red berries and wooden barrels. SHIG (4968) - Wasilla, Alaska, USA - DEC 25, 2016
Bottle: Poured brown with no head. Aroma tart and funky. Taste tartly sour and acidic fruit. HippieFee (483) - Portland, Oregon, USA - NOV 8, 2016
Large Format - Very rich red/brown color and very cloudy as well. Some yeast at the bottom of the bottle. Very complex flavors going on. Get hints of caramel and cherry. Only a mild tartness on this beer but that could be because of the age. I have had some of the other years and this is always a great beer. DSG (15432) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - OCT 15, 2016
