03-03-18 // draft at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Last beer of the night, at that moment too overpowering for my taste senses, so rating should maybe a bit higher when tried with less beers before. hazy dark red brown. Rodenbach character. Sweet-sour dark red fruits. A malty sweetness. Acidic finish. Balsamic sour. Tide (4778) - Helsinki, FINLAND - FEB 25, 2018

Bottle. Pours clear ruby amber, small tan head, decent lacing. Aroma is vinous, tart, cherry, lemon, wood, kind of a lot of acetone. Flavor is the same, light to medium tart, light residual sweetness. Fruity, vinous, woody barrel notes some acetone. Medium body. Not up to previous years IMO. Hazy red/amber with quickly disapearing head. Very acidic aroma with estery fruitnotes of apples and cherries. Has strong smell of turpentine and alcohol as well but in a weird way it is not unpleasant. The taste follows along the same lines. Very acidic, salty, medium sweetness and notes of cherries, plumbs and cinnamon and lots of turpentine and alcohol. Hardcore sour beer I would say. But I actually like it. Draft @ Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Red/brown colour, beige foam. Lots of wood, balsamic vinegar, cherries. Sweet and tart. Fruity, very well balanced. Great beer. Maybe a bit too low carbonation.
