Reddish color without foam. Some vinegar in the nose. Sour spicey and full balanced taste with some bread. Not too dry aftertaste with sourish bread. anstei (2169) - Zurich, SWITZERLAND - AUG 27, 2016

No head. Aroma is very mild sour-ish, oak, sorrel, mild vinegar, hay, thinner, sour berries, butterscotch. Taste is dry sour-ish, oak, mild vinegar, butterscotch, sorrel, heather, thinner. Medium bitterness, dry oaky mouthfeel. Nice enough.
Poured from a bottle. Cloudy caramel color, medium white head. Nice sour aroma. Full body with a full sweet and tart flavor with a nice finish.

Bottle... This beer rocks!… Pours cloudy and caramel-colored with no head. The aroma is funky, fruity and woody - raspberries, dark cherries, peach, fallen oak and a splash of red wine vinegar. Full-bodied with a whole-milk mouthfeel and buzzing carbonation. The flavor presents a collection of moderately sweet caramel, sour cherries and fuzzy stone fruits. There’s a light note of acetic acid and a mild measure of crusty bitterness in the finale. Another world class brew supplied by darkguardian! crossovert (12667) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 14, 2015
375ml bottle shared with Jerome. This was a wonderful beer, very tart and dry, spice notes, caramel but not heavy, vinous and spicy, wonderful stuff! tom10101 (6039) - Quebec, CANADA - MAR 2, 2015
Bottle (375 ml). Split 3-ways with Adam and Heather.

Appearance: Clear mahogany with a small ring of beige foam and little lacing.
Aroma: Quite boozy at first, but it then settles down and there’s nice winey notes, light spiciness, berries, cherries and oak.
Taste: Much more balanced than the aroma with a nice red wine presence, caramel, oak, alcohol, moderate spiciness, vanilla and berries / cherries.
Palate: Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Tannic. Spicey and winey finish.
Overall: Lacks of direction as it happen sometime with the crazy barrel-aged blends from BFM, but it’s still super tasty and quite enjoyable. These guy are among the best for high abv sours.
Thank you Tommy for sharing. 2013 neck split 3 ways at cellar temperature.

A - A nice clarity, it’s slightly bloody with reddish hues, purple edges.
S - The nose, well it’s boozy, sharp very nice balance of cherry acidity and grape skins with kiwi as well.
T - tart acidic finish, up front, booze, cherry tartness, oak and the wild yeast really shines at the finish. it’s very dark fruit forward with a brown sugar sort of sweetness. really interesting, no "spice" really but I can say you taste every bit of the booze.
M - Dense, not oily but not full of carbonation either.
O - This might be interesting in a decade. Like it now. probably one of my favorites.
