from Bier-Bienne - hazy reddish-amber beer with no foam left; fairly woody with aroma of sour cherries, grapes, apples and vinegar; solidly sour, full-bodied and a with an adequate carbonation; dry and long woody cherryish aftertaste with notes of raisins and vinegar - wonderful !

Tap at funky buddha lounge, boca raton. Dark reddish brown color, white head. Super aroma has cherries, sour notes, wood, some sparkling wine notes. Wow, taste has cherries, oak, super sour notes, apple, wine notes.

Pours a golden amber color with barely any head. Smells of acetone with some horse blanket notes. Flavor is light tart with some sweetness on the finish. Good beer but expected more...

Aroma of wood, oak, dark fruit, red wine. Taste is slight sweet sugary reminiscent of early Avery Erimeta's, with complex woody flavors, dark fruit and red wine spiciness. Very complex. Almost like consecration but just missing in some of the balance and nuances of consecration, bringing it a few notches below. But complex. Tons of flavor and great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very tart aroma, with orange and plum notes. Taste is very tart with notes of juicy orange, grapefruit, white plum and strawberries. Finish is toasty and acidic.

Tap. Caramel pour with no head. Vinegar and wine. Nice oaky champagne flavor. Medium body with bready, citrusy bubble. Nice

375ml bottle. Poured a hazy deep amberish color with a small sized head. Funky, fruity, vinegar, wood, and cherries. Grape skins. Nice tart finish. I guess I’m just a sucker for Bon Chien ...

Bottle from La Cave à Bières, Yverdon-les-Bains
Hazy red-amber color, beautiful, with small head. Nice sour aroma, but there is a bit of acetone. Good body strength; it puts in good balance the light residual sweetness, the acidity, the light alcohol perception: excellent flavor, fresher and fruitier than most other Abbaye de Saint-Bon Chien, vinous, with some malt in the background.
Excellent Sour.

Bottle - Sweet light fruit, lychee, cherry and some acidic notes. Cloudy gold orange with almost no head. Sweet, cherry, light spice, oaky notes and light tart acidity. Quite nice.

mcberko (20528) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 17, 2015
375mL bottle, pours an opaque dark amber / burgundy with a small beige head. Aroma brings out red wine barrels and lots of woody oak. Flavour is very complex, with wood, oak, light red wine, and some low-to-medium tartness. Low tartness, high woodiness, and pretty complex. Excellent stuff.
