Huge beige head on a murky brown body; Very special aroma that I am actually not sure is intended, beautiful special red berry aromas mixed with fine dark malts; Big and fitting carbonation on fruity acid balanced excellent body; Excellent big yeasty finish, more darker malt aromas and again the fruity very special touch. Very interesting very complex and very drinkable.

75cl. Dark red-brown with a nice fruity nose. The beer starts deep and fruity-sourish. Especially deep for the 5,5%. Fresh sourish with hints of wood and malt in the aftertaste, round and intense.

(Bottle) Dark brown colour with firm, frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of dried fruit (prunes, raisins), caramel, dark bread, a touch of coffee, a slight oxidization and a mild lactic sourness. Fruity, malty, tart taste with dried fruit, prunes, sour cherries, caramel, dark bread, black-currant, hints of coffee and a sweet and sour finish with balanced bitterness and a certain sourness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. This was a fairly old bottle (best before November 2013), and the sourness raises an eyebrow. But I suspect it’s supposed to be fairly sour, knowing the brewery and reading the early ratings. I wouldn’t classify this as a porter, it’s more like a black saison. And as such, it’s quite a nice one.

Mörkt brun i färgen, litet vitt skum. Doftar unket sött syrligt, fel, illa, äckligt, fruktigt, kryddigt, avlopp. Smakar som det doftar, riktigt illa.

11/VIII/2012 - 33cl bottle @ RBBSG - BB: n/a - (2012-868) Thanks to Sebletitje for sharing the bottle!

Cloudy beige brown beer, small off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: urine, sourish, herbal, little bitter. MF: soft to no carbon, light body. Taste: nasty, that’s as far as I can get. Man I do not like this brew at all, it’s disgusting.

75cl Bottle @RBBSG, courtesy of Sebletitje. Dark brown coloured beer with some light carbonation, some yeast particles and a medium off white head. Fruity special, light sour malty hinted aroma. Medium to full fruity palate. Finish is sweet malty fruity and light sour sweet balanced with as trange hoppy fruity touch. Rather different brew, definitly not your regular Porter. But ok.

@ 2nd RBBSG, thx to Sebletitje 75cl

Head: white, medium
Colour: black / dark brown
Smell: very sweet, lots of malts, little noticeable of coffee or porter, cloying
Taste: allong the line of the aroma, especially that colying feeling, too sticky, sweet, malts, sugar, caramel, and then the horrible sour notes in it ... Sorry not my cup of tea ...

Martinus (4610) - Baarle-Nassau, NETHERLANDS - AUG 16, 2012
Dark brown colour, white head. Light sour aroma, malts, berries, ureum, light yeast. Light sour flavour, fruity. Hefty carbonation. Light sour finish, quite fresh.
(From 75cL bottle @ RBBSG II, Wilrijk. Courtesy of Sebletitje. Thanks!)

Travlr (25185) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - AUG 14, 2012
Bottle courtesy of Seabass, thanks! Murky brown color, thick tan head. Aroma of belly button, dusty butterscotch. Taste is softly sour caramel and light coffee.

Thx. to Sebletitje // 75 cl. bottle sampled @ RBBSG 2012 // dark brown, lightly reddish, small mocha head // nose on this is quite spritzy, lots of berries, fruity esters, light yeast all with a light sour tang // spritzy carbonation quite dominates the flavour, berries, esters, quite lot of yeast, some citrus & sour tang, some sweeter malt as well, branches quite a bit of them, fruity // spritzy carb. // intriguing & I am interested, was this supposed to be this way & porter ??

Benzai (15711) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - AUG 11, 2012
Sampled at RBBSG. Murky brown color, medium sized beige head. Smell slightly malty, sourish but also a sweetish hint to it. Taste is lightly sour, a bit fruity. A bit low bodied, low to medium carbo.
