Pulled straight from the fridge and it STILL gushed like crazy. Huge unshrinking head of foam in my glass. A small amount of liquid on the bottom...cloudy orange.
Intensely sour bitterness on the nose with a Brett like aroma.
Strong bitter flavour with a fruity and light vinegar tartness, hint of horse blanket. Pouring in the rest of the bottle, I find a mild sweet note or 2.
Mouthfeel suffers some from the over carbonation.
Interesting brew but not one I’d likely visit again. JHeath99 (1678) - Warner Robins, Georgia, USA - OCT 27, 2014
Bottle. Pours a super cloudy amber. Aroma of some funk and tart, some berry notes in there as well. Taste is tart with some fruit. Almost no carbonation. JStax (6504) - Devola/Marietta, Ohio, USA - OCT 9, 2014
Draft pour. Pours a hazed copper with a white head of foam. The aroma is musty, earthy, funky. Taste is floral and just a touch tart. Light body. Moderate carbonation. monk191 (1978) - Portland, Oregon, USA - OCT 2, 2014
Average for a cuvee. Pours a beautiful bright orange-red color with a white head. Smells of blackberries, molasses and a bit of tart. Taste is very tart, crisp, with strawberry rhubarb pie and spiciness in the finish. Had on tap at the Trappist. dnstone (3418) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - JUN 28, 2014
Floral, lactic-tart aroma. Nice glowing hazed copper-golden-orange with soft off-white head. Lightly tart lemony with a slight musty edge.

Cloudy and amber brown like an apple cider with zero head. Sour, musty, tart. Apple and citrus, malt and earthiness. Slight hops in the finish. MikeJslc (778) - USA - JAN 23, 2014
Deep gold, hazy, thin white head. Aroma is very sour with over-ripe strawberry and pear, earthy, musty spice. Flavor: dry, biscuity malt, earthy leather, spiced apples, ginger, pear, cidery notes, minerals, moderately sour (less than in aroma). Very low carb. Small creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly rich, lots of sour red currants (kind of like I remembered my grandmother’s home made red currants juice), broth, grass, vinegar, heather. Taste is slightly sour grassy, red currants, grass, berry skin, minerals, sorrel, heather. Dry mouthfeel. Never heard of the brewery before, and had absolutely no expectations at all, despite good ratings. This was actually really nice, and being this old, I really wouldn’t mind more of this.
Grabbed this off shelf at Murrays Cheese. Pours a hideous murky swamp water color. Nose is tart and of fruits. Tastes tart of cherries, floral hops, woody, and ginger. Funky and easy drinking. SamP01 (668) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 1, 2013
330ml flip top bottle. Pours a cloudy brownish amber with no head. Aroma and Taste of sweet malt, Belgian yeast, very fruity, some plums and raisins, slightly sour tart flavor. Palate is a medium body, light carbonation, mildly tart flavor. Finishes with Belgian yeast, fruity, plums and raisins, ending I’d mildly sweet tart and fruity. Overall a good drinking Belgian brew.
