2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured from a 33cl bottle at home into a tulip glass. Getting the same aroma/flavour as I do with many Belgium beers - like banana, but I’ve put it down to Belgium yeast (if someone has any ideas as to what this flavour is, please let me know). Very pale and very hazy yellow. Very strong and lingering wheat flavour (in addition to the above mentioned). Full bodied, slightly sweet and slightly sour. Lacking in carbonation and bitterness.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
According to ist label, it is a biére de garde with 5.5% ABV...very hazy pale yellow colour, minimal white head; aroma of peach, barnyard, lemony and balsamic acid notes; taste is the same with some bread...is it really a witbier?...because giére de garde (as iddicated on the label) seems to be more suitable in my opinion

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at home. Hazy light golden with small white head. Light dough and lemon, flowers, light herbs, bread crust, lots of spicy yeast. It has light white pepper, cloves and lemon peel towards the finish. Light sweet and itter and under medium sour. Medium bodied. Nothing like a wit, more a sour saison like the modern US ones. I don’t get the low score at all, this is really my kind of beer! So refreshing, light yet full of flavour. If this was a HF beer people would go nuts for it.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - pale golden with a lovely neat lacy head.
Nose - green stalks and candied lemon.
Taste - more candied lemon and the Green bitter note is still there.
Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture. The finish is both bitter and tangy.
Overall - lovely example of the style.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
0.33l swingtop bottle. Damn, this one has a serious amount of floaters! Really cloudy and deep golden looking in the glass with a nice medium sized just off-white head that’s leading some nice blondes down the sides of the glass. I’ll like the aroma. Loaded with wheat sweetness and yeast. I’ll thought this was supposed to be a blonde but it smells more like a cross between a wit and a wheat ale. A little sweet ripe banana estery thing here also. Quite enjoyable to be honest. It has a soft carbonation level inside a light oily mouthfeel. It’s not directly sweet in the taste but it has nice wheat sweetness. I’ll think this is more a wit than a blonde in the taste as well as it has that typical wit herbal coriander touch and lots of heffe yeast. A slightly orange zesty almost acidic hint in the finish. I’ll would not mind having this again. 05.10.2013

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tart, lemon, pale malts, lots of character from the fermentation, with sourness, fruity and light wood even. Delicious! But the taste is even better. Fruity sourness, lots of character. Yummy yummy. Pushing amazing amounts of flavours and still fresh and drinkable. Highly underrated, in my opinion. As a side note, was this what those American thought of when they started their saison reimagination? Because most are more similar to this BFM beer than a Dupont Saison. 3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle pours hazy light yellow, with quickly diminishing white head. Aroma of floral, wheat malt, yellow fruit, citrus. Slight sweetness in taste, lacks some freshness. Little cargo. But not bad at all..
