Rutzicka (102) - SWITZERLAND - MAR 10, 2003
Nice foam but unpleasant cloudy brown colour. Floral aroma, strong and refreshing with notes of plum. It has a nice moderate bitterness which lasts in the finish.

Colour of dark tea, cloudy, with a beautiful foam. Aroma of herbs, flowers, tobacco and spices. Few flavour, light bitternesss, quite long herbal aftertaste. It has an interesting aroma but an unpleasant bitterness.

I would'nt guess this was a wheat beer. Very dark and a fulfilling aroma. Malty and fruity nice one.

Hildigöltur (5103) - København, DENMARK - FEB 20, 2003
[7.5%ABV] Hazy dark brown colour with nice head. Interesting aroma with notes of cinnamon. The flavour is somewhat yeasty with some fruityness and maltyness. A very different and good wheat beer.

Dark brown color, with medium sized head, not persistent. Nice aroma, dark caramel and some cinnamon; light dark fruits, and very light star anise. Good body structure; caramel flavor, with a touch of dark chocolate and spice mix; the bitterness is reasonably low.
Pleasant winter beer, without the BFM signature.

It pours a cloudy brown color; with a medium head. Aroma of cookies, caramel, spices. It has a quite good body, with caramel flavor, some spices, strong bitterness, some sourness and high ending astringency. In little time it becomes less aggressive. Complex as usual.

Dark amber color. Fruity (apples, green apples), yeast. Astringent, with some malt roundness. Sour-bitter palate. Very original.

Cloudy brown color, beautiful creamy head.
Very nice and original aroma: sourness, malt, fruits (red currant…).
Good body structure and strength, very good mix of sweetness and sourness (both delicate), oak cask, little astringency.

Dark brown. Hazy. Clean flavour with big late bitterness. Interesting and unusual wheat beer.

UPDATED: FEB 10, 2006 pours a hazy dark brown colour under a little stable beige foam; aroma of prune and ginger with some cookie-like maltiness and more undefined spices in the background; good rounded malt body and a decent bitterness; long fruity and malty finish - a solid, well-made brew

may-12-2001 -dark brown colour, fine head, subtile cherry aroma, full-bodied, caramel, slightly bitter - this beer has improved since its beginning (as does its alc. content from 4.5% to 7.5% !); it reminds me of the Rotbräu from Bäre-Bräu)

Oakes (18828) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 26, 2000
Dark brown; yeasty, gummy, flowery; spritzy, dry, yeasty palate. Late alcohol kick.
