COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Was not expecting a lovely little sour when I saw the Tarry Suchong on the label. Mild smoke/tea on the nose with a light brown/amber appearance. Sour forward taste with a hint of the earthy tea following. Nice.

I found this bottle at Boissons Service in Prilly-Malley. I tried this nectar today, before the meal as an aperitive. Sincerly, I was not disappointed about this beer, really nice experience and an original drink from an artist of tastes in the Jura Province. The color is brown, a little red and troubled. The carbonation is regular, a little sparkling, thin and white foam. The taste is a perfect harmony of aromas and savours, like a classical concert in a peaceful area. The first attack is with the smocked malt, sourness, at the final, you smell the green tea, the hop. For the style, it is dry, I could say normal due to the tea with the smocked malt, you have notes of beech tree, bacon. The impression is really good with some yeast deposit.

(Draught at Chez Moeder Lambic Original, Brussels, 20 May 2017) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, red fruit, hints of smoke and crisp-bread. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, red fruit, smoke, hints of tar, rye bread and a gentle bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a gentle smoke character. Quite nice.

Bottle at a tasting. The beer is overall complex, but rather subtle, soft, delicate. Smokiness is barely noticeable, caramelly malty sweetness is moderate. Some clove present. Good and drinkable, interesting as well, but could use more complexity IMO.
