Bottle, #516. Bought @Bjert Gamle Brugs, Kolding. Pours deep brown to black with a large, staying, creamy beige head. Aroma has sweet chocolate, light milky, some soft raisins, light esters. A mellow vanilla/cinnamon note in there as well. Medium, slightly prickly carbonation, dry and slightly light mouthfeel. Flavour has pleasant malts, chocolate, light licorice, hazelnuts and still some vanilla. Light warming with a touch of dried dark fruits and quite a solid bitter finish. Nice. Two finger nougat brown foam. Black dark brown. Very well carbonated. Licorice roasted coffee. Dry with sweet finish. Sharp but pleasant non lingering bitterness. Great brew. Not that complex but solid.

Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, sweet malt, muscovado sugar - molasses, moderate yeasty, X-mas spices. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, dark malt, spicy, X-mas spices, chocolate, sweet malt - yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
