Bottle at Sherwood. Pours black with a tan head. Smells bready and yeasty. Tastes a strong bitter with chocolate and malt. Full body. Finishes dry.

Bottle in Rome from Domus Birrae. Opaque black beer, decent tan head. It’s all here for a dark beer! A little smoke, mildly roasted malt. Some licorice and a trace of lacto. Dry finish with espresso coffee. Unapologetic in it’s robust darkness!

Bottle @ Bir & fud bottega. Black color, dirty white head. Coffee, malt, hops aroma. Coffee, chocolate, malt, hops taste. Medium/light body, the mouth feel is slightly watery but intense anyway. Surprising and very good beer. Really balanced. A kind of English porter with a lot of (english) hops aroma The only issue is the worty, "muddy" leftover you got at the end of the bottle.

Forcina (52) - Bellinzona, Rome, Brussels, SWITZERLAND - DEC 29, 2011
Dark color, big foam. Aroma is roasted malts and hops, flavour is overhopped for an english porter, but very tasty! Palate is soft body and low carbonation. Pretty nice porter

375 ml bottle from Domus Birrae. Pours dark brown, almost black, with a light beige head. Good lacing retention. Powerful aroma of roasted malts, coffee, smoke and vanilla. Plus a small hops presence as well. Very smooth taste with a pleasent roasted and smoked long finish. Medium body, soft carbonation, excellent drinkability. Elegant, balanced, lovely porter!

Draught at "Italian Beer Festival 2011" - Milan.
Black and solid aspect. Very strong and supporting head, light nut color. Dark and impenetrable. Powerfull scent of ash, braced malt, roast wood and bitter cacao. Pleasant coofè taste, much bitter and much lively in the mouth. Long and pleasant final.

On tap @bir&fud ristorante, it has been a very pleasant porter experience. Black, not too much coffee in taste as well as for the chocolate, easy to drink, well balanced, low carbonation. I like it very much despite I’m not a stout lover.
